A Spring Celebration: La Cosecha Ecuatoriana The Embassy of Ecuador and NOVA BOSSA present The Ecuadorian Harvest, a spring celebration of arts, fashion, culture and food at La Cosecha in Washington, DC.
Washington, DC, April 15, 2021 – On Saturday, April 24, the Embassy of Ecuador in the United States and lifestyle retailer NOVA BOSSA will shine a bright spotlight on the South American country of Ecuador at La Cosecha (1280 4TH STREET, NE) with a series of free community programs showcasing the bounty of Ecuadorian crafts, food, art, dance, film and travel. The festival comes in the heels of Earth Day, a fitting time given Ecuador’s status as one of 17 megadiverse countries and its constitution on the Rights of Nature, the first of its kind. “What began as a meeting with Ecuador’s First Lady Rocío González de Moreno this past February to discuss the Presidency’s Artesano Artista initiative with 8,000 artisans, has blossomed into a beautiful showcase of Ecuadorian culture at La Cosecha. More than a retailer, NOVA BOSSA supports cultural diplomacy and Latin American brands that preserve traditions and champion better lives. We are therefore delighted to co-host The Ecuadorian Harvest on April 24th and to offer the country’s unique fashion, accessories, jewelry and home décor at our store and at novabossa.com through the end of May.” says Carolina Furukrona, CEO of NOVA BOSSA. La Cosecha Ecuatoriana programs and special events on April 24th include:
ALL DAY Ecuadorian Tastings: Sample a variety of products and Ecuadorian specialties provided by La Cosecha vendors, Ecuadorian importer CC&J and premium organic food company SamiChakra.
